Tikrapara police have arrested two youths in connection with theft of a motorcycle reported in the city during lockdown. The arrested accused thieves were identified as Gopi Yadav (25) and Pramod Kannojai (21), both residents of Gudhiyari. From the possession of the arrested duo, police seized a moped used in crime and a mobile handset. Another accused identified as Narendra, who had the stolen two-wheeler, is presently on run. On May 6, the accused trio had stolen a motorcycle (CG 04 NB 4739) of Yashwant Dewangan from Dumartarai area following which he lodged a complaint.

 

On victim’s complaint, a probe and based on inputs, police rounded-up Gopi and Pramod and subjected them to interrogation. During questioning, the accused admitted of stealing the bike with the help of Narendra. In this connection, an offence was registered with Tikrapara police station under Sections 379 and 34 of Indian Penal Code.
