Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat came into action mode and took stock of treatment and arrangements being made for Covid-19 patients at Government Hamidia Hospital. Giving strict instructions to doctors and officials, Kiyawat said that any kind of negligence in hospital will not be excused and strict action will be taken in case of negligence. Kiyawat instructed Superintendent of Gandhi Medical College Dr Jitendra Shukla, Superintendent Dr Lokendra Dave that facilities being provided to patients admitted at hospital premises should not be compromised. Kiyawat said that our objective of governance is to save lives of people from corona infection.
 
He directed that patient admitted in Covid ward should be immediately shifted from there as per protocol so that availability of beds can be ensured for other patients. During the review, taking immediate cognisance of problem of fire safety, water and electrification in various blocks of the administration, he directed officers of departments concerned to keep things in order. He also instructed for training of lower staff and security guards. Expansion of health facilities, better monitoring Kavindra Kiyawat instructed the doctors that the shortcomings of the hospital can be overcome only through better monitoring, he directed that a nodal should be appointed for this and to seek information about the day-to-day activities and to resolve the problem at the same time.
 
He also said that better monitoring and expansion of health resources through screen monitors, paramedical staff, nurses, ward boys and skilled operators would help in reducing the rate of Covid infection and by expanding these resources it will be easy to take care and to treat both Covid, and non-Covid patients. Strict instructions to private agencies working in hospitals Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat has given strict instructions to the operators of private agencies working in the hospital premises to ensure availability of paramedical staff, ward boys and sweeper for the hospital management at fixed rates and to ensure their presence in each block by making a duty roster. “Otherwise, be prepared for action,” said Kiyawat. He instructed Dr Chaudhary to keep a record of their functioning as a nodal every day and pay them accordingly. Provide benefits to Ayushman beneficiaries Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat said that the benefits of Ayushman card should be given to eligible persons.
 
Kiyawat said that at the time of admission, the person making the Ayushman card should be posted at the registration counter and if any eligible patient does not have the Ayushman Scheme card, then get their Ayushman card made immediately so that maximum number of people could benefit the scheme. Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat also instructed the Nursing Staff Incharge, Dr Jyotsana Shrivastava, that the nurses studying in the BSc third year should be posted for duty in Covid/ non-Covid wards in view of the present situation.
