Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Aijaz Dhebar held three virtual meetings on Wednesday to review the corona situation. Mayor Dhebar held a virtual meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) corporators of the RMC. RMC Speaker Pramod Dubey and Leader of Opposition in RMC Meenal Choubey were also present in the virtual meeting. Mayor Dhebar discussed with the BJP corporators on different issues including use of corporator fund for vaccination, home isolation, sanitisation and status of Shamshan Ghats.

 

The Mayor has asked the BJP corporators to give their contributions by cutting across the party lines for containment and management of the Covid-19 pandemic in the city. Mayor Dhebar also held another virtual meeting with the Congress corporators. Dhebar has asked the Congress corporators to motivate the people to get Covid vaccinated. The Mayor has asked the corporators to make all necessary arrangements ahead of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Several Congress corporators have requested the Mayor to carry out cleanliness drive for all drains of the city ahead of rainy season. The virtual meeting of Chhattisgarh Mayors’ Association was held under the chairmanship of Raipur Mayor Dhebar. All the Mayors have suggested to donate some amount from Mayor Fund to Chief Minister Relief Fund. Other various issues were discussed in detail in the meeting.
