A virtual meeting of sports trainers of all sports academy run by Sports and Youth Welfare department was held on Thursday. Director, Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Jain chaired the meeting and discussed in length regarding sports activities and future activities. Pawan Jain spoke to every sports trainer and took information about workout, studies, vaccination of players. Sports trainers informed that currently players are doing online workout by remaining at their homes. They are also sharing work out related videos among them.

 

Along with this, they are also doing their studies. Pawan Jain told that sports trainers should be in regular touch of players and should increase their morale. The conversation of trainer and psychologist should be facilitated with players so that they should remain mentally strong.

 

Highlighting the importance of studies along with games, he told that players should be encouraged for preparations of upcoming exams of class 10 and class 12 respectively and every possible help should be provided. He reiterated that once situation becomes normal, talent search and other sports activities will be conducted. The meeting was attended by Arjun and Dronacharya Award winner and Chief Coach Hockey Rajinder Singh, Jaspal Rana (Pistol shooting), women hockey’s Paramjeet Singh, shotgun shooting’s Mansher Singh, Rowing Captain Dalbeer Singh, Fencing Vijay Kumar etc.
