Taking investigation ahead in the case of a minor girl’s abduction and rape, Azad Chowk police have arrested two absconding accused, including a woman. In connection with abduction and rape of a minor girl, police have arrested two persons identified as Vridhi Sahu alias Vridhi Manwani (21), a resident of Ekta Chowk under Vidhan Sabha Police Station, and Suresh Sahu alias Baba (19), of Daldal Seoni under Pandri Police Station, informed the police sources. Police have also arrested Vridhi’s friend Saurabh Tiwari under Arms Act for allegedly brandishing a sharp-edged weapon in a public place, added police sources.

 

Police sources further informed that the accused were produced in a local court from where they were sent to judicial custody. Vridhi Sahu had spent jail term in case of a minor girl’s rape and abduction. While languishing in jail, Vridhi came in contact with habitual offenders like Raksel brothers and Monika Sachdev.

 

It may be recalled that a minor girl lodged a complaint with Amleshwar Police Station in Durg district alleging that she was abducted and raped. In her complaint to police, the victim girl alleged that the accused allegedly filmed her nude video and circulated it. The case was forwarded here to Azad Chowk police following which Vinay Reksel (22), Muskan Ratre (20), both residents of Moudhapara, Sahil Khan (18) and one other were already arrested by police in the case.
