Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan overall positivity rate of State has come down to 4.82 per cent. This has been possible with the active co-operation of public representatives. The future strategy to control corona, to strictly implement lockdown till May 31 and to gradually start arrangements from June 1 will be also made through suggestion of elected representatives of urban bodies and it will be also implemented through their co-operation. He was addressing public representatives of urban areas, i.e. former and present Mayors, former and current presidents and corporators of municipal corporations and municipal councils on management of control of COVID-19 through video conferencing from residence on Saturday. He said that business and offices cannot be kept closed for a long time to prevent infection. The idea is to start unlock process from June 1.

In this, activities will be started in a phased manner. There are few cases of corona in many urban areas whereas in many places they are high. In this case, an area-specific strategy has to be created. Wards of districts having higher infection will have to be marked as hot spots. Intensive monitoring should be ensured by making these areas micro-containment zones. Campaigns for intensive testing should continue. Peoples who are affected by corona infection should be isolated. Also make sure that such persons do not meet other family members. It will be necessary to follow it continuously. Family members can be convinced for this.

Arrangements should be made to place the patient in COVID Care Centre if required. Now number of corona cases is less in the State. Therefore, contact tracing should also be undertaken effectively, this will help to prevent the spread of infection. Public representatives should do micro planning in their respective areas and do monitoring. Kill Corona campaign will continue: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Kill Corona campaign should continue. The third campaign will be completed on May 24, following which 4th Kill-Corona campaign will be launched. Every person affected by a cold, cough, should be identified and provided with a medical kit immediately. Treatment should be arranged as needed. There should be no delay in identifying the symptoms of corona and starting treatment. Corona patients admitted to hospitals should be given the best treatment. Every possible effort must be made way to save patients. He was addressing ministers in charge, officers incharge of COVID in districts besides all divisional commissioners, Inspector Generals of Police, Collectors and Superintendents of Police through video conference. Preparations for third wave must: Chief Minister said that preparations are on to face the third wave of corona. There are only two ways. The first are the following precautions measures for corona prevention such as wearing masks, not crowding, maintaining two yards distance, etc. to avoid the third wave.

This strategy should be implemented with the participation of Crisis Management Committees public representatives Panchayat and urban areas and through public awareness campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised public participation model of state. By recognising the power of public participation in State, it should be used effectively against corona. State Government is working constantly to strengthen health infrastructure for third COVID wave.
