Putting up a vigilant check on violators of COVID-19 protocol, police have arrested 327 persons and imprisoned them in temporary jail and registered separate cases against 56 shop owners during complete lockdown, on Sunday. Besides this, total 3,074 persons were served challans amounting to Rs. 3.07 lakhs for not using face mask and not maintaining social distancing.
 
It may be noted that under the direction of the Madhya Pradesh Government for checking spread of COVID-19 infection, police have started a special campaign against violators of COVID-19 protocol under the supervision of Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna (IPS). During the campaign, police have nabbed total 327 persons for roaming in the city during lockdown without any authentic reason and kept them in temporary jail. Similarly, 3,074 persons were served challans amounting to Rs. 3,07,400 for not using face mask and maintaining social distancing in different areas of the city.
 
Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna has extended appeal to residents to following preventive guidelines to check the spread of COVID-19 infection by ensuring use of face mask and maintaining social distancing. He appealed the residents to avoid visiting the city without any important work during the lockdown and checking the spread of the disease. He advised residents to immediately contact at nearest fever clinic or contact COVID-19 control room in case of having any kind of symptoms like cough, fever, cold or respiratory problem.
