Vaishakh Poornima celebrated, but with full COVID protocols

Residents performed worship of Lord Vishnu on the auspicious day of Vaishakh Poornima, on Wednesday. However, a fewer number of persons reached the banks of river Narmada following the lockdown as police teams were deployed for restricting public gathering at Narmada Ghats to avoid spread of infectious disease.
 
Vaishakh Poornima is a holy day for Hindus that falls on the 15th day of thte Shukla Paksha of the lunar fortnight when Poornima falls in the month of Vaishakh. According to Hindu belief, if a person offer prayers and worship Lord Vishnu with devotion on this day, he or she is blessed with prosperity and fulfillment of wishes.
