COVID pandemic devoured one more loved one from New English family. Dr Sudhakar Bhalerao, former Secretary and President of New English High School Association for about 28 years, a well known figure in RSS and an ardent visionary bid adieu to this mortal world on April 25, 2021 leaving his loved ones in sobs. A native of Nagpur city, Dr Bhalerao hailed from a family having educational background. His father was a teacher in New English High School. His unflinching faith in the chosen path, may it be as regards studies or performing various roles in the field of education and social life was the sheer outcome of the moral values instilled in him by his parents.

From his schooling in New English High School of Sitabuldi Branch till his post graduation in Political Science and Sociology and afterwards serving his institution CP & Berar in Tulsibagh as a professor, he was an ideal and idol for the youth and his contemporaries to follow suit. Bapurao Wankhede’s keen eye took cognisance of his passion, dedication, honesty and scholarship and Dr Bhalerao was appointed as the head instructor in Gorakshan Branch. He contributed immensely in ABVP and widely travelled across Vidarbha region to establish branches of ABVP. Dr Sudhakarrao’s humility, gentility, honesty, integrity and many such attributes won accolades resulting into his appointment as Secretary and President in the institutions like BSM, New English High School Association, Vidyabharati etc.

Dr Bhalerao’s spouse Sushama retired as professor from CP & Berar College. She was the backbone of Dr Bhalerao’s successful tenure. His daughters Dr Suvarna Murhar, Dr Nilima Bhalerao and Girija Desmukh are highly qualified and his son Abhijit is an advocate. New English family will always remain obliged for his contribution to take the institution to a new heights. The only ache remains in the hearts of NEHS family for having lost a caring and loving father figure.
