Social Welfare Department and Raipur Smart City Limited (RSCL) in association with NGOs Hope for Humanity and Khalsa Relief Foundation sent the homeless man lying in front of MLA Vikas Upadhyay’s home to old-age home. The Hitavada had raised the issue of homeless man identified as Mushtaq on its Tuesday City Line Edition’s front page. The Hitavada drew the attention towards the extremely poor state of man.
 
The voice finally reached the authorities, who took the step to provide necessary succor to the homeless man. Mushaq will get treatment and food at the old-age home. On the direction of RSCL Managing Saurabh Kumar, the RSCL team and NGO volunteers picked the homeless man from GE Road. He was incapable of walking due to injury and his family had also abandoned him on the road. He was rescued and sent to Mana old-age home. According to Social Welfare Department Joint Director Bhupendra Pandey, Mushtaq will be provided with necessary med ical support and attempts will be made to reunite him with the family.
