BJP staged dharna across State against Trinamool Congress (TMC), alleging that post-Assembly election, TMC workers indulged in violent activities, targeting BJP workers and offices on Wednesday. BJP leaders said that many party workers have been killed and many are injured. This act of TMC is a blot in the name of democracy. They said that BJP protest such incidents in strong manner and will not tolerate hooliganism of TMC at any rate.

“TMC and even Congress should understand in well manner that party workers are not alone in West Bengal as entire BJP is standing with them,” they told. In Bhopal, dharna was staged by maintaining social distancing at BJP office. BJP State President V D Sharma, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Prahlad Singh Patel, Home Minister Dr Narottam Mishra, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel etc were present. V D Sharma alleged that on the instance of top leadership of TMC, BJP workers are being murdered in West Bengal, their houses are also being torched. He said that BJP National President J P Nadda sat on dharna in West Bengal. But It’s unfortunate that dais installed in front of BJP office is removed.

He took a dig at Mamta Banerjee by telling that during election campaigning, she sat on wheel chair, citing leg injury and on winning election, she stands on both legs. Prahlad Patel told that Mamta Banerjee-led government in West Bengal is bent upon to target BJP workers who are facing action due to political vendetta. He demanded resignation of Mamta Banerjee. Dr Narottam Mishra told that by seeing the present situation of West Bengal, he demands from PM that West Bengal should be handed over to Army.
