Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur, on Friday announced the revised time-table of semester examination scheduled to be held in December-January 2020-21, but was postponed due to Covid pandemic. The university announced the dates, as per guidelines issued by the Chhattisgarh Government.
 
The examination will start from May 24 with third semester. As per the time-table, the third semester examination of Post Graduate students will conclude on May 28.
 
The first semester examination of Post Graduate students will be held from May 29 and conclude on June 3, followed by the annual examination of Under Graduate students will start from June 7.
 
Vice-Chancellor Professor K L Verma said that the examination will be held in blended mode that can also be said ‘Examination from Home’. The students will be sent question papers via whatsapp/e-mail apart from providing the hard copy of the question papers to 70 selected examination centres. The multiple arrangements have been made in view of reducing rush at the photocopy shops as well as centres.
 
Students can either collect the question papers from their designated examination centres or they can take print-out of
the question papers, Professor Verma said.
 
PRSU Registrar Dr Girish Kant Pandey said that principals have been given power to stop distribution of question papers if they find their centres are overcrowded by the students.
 
Dr Pandey said that the students will write the answer at their homes and submit to their respective examination centres. They can also send the answer copies through other mediums such as post office and courier. The details regarding the examination have been uploaded on the university website. Earlier, a meeting of the principals of all the colleges affiliated to the PRSU was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor K L Verma.
The objective of the meeting to discuss strategies for the examination in this crisis. Registrar Dr G K Pandey and heads of the departments of the University also attended the meeting.
The meeting started with tributes to the teachers died due to coronavirus. The Vice Chancellor emphasised on the need for vaccination while addressing the principals and strict adherence to guidelines issued by the state and district administration, during the meeting held through online mode. The time-table for the examination was announced during the meeting. It was decided in the meeting to hold the Post Graduate third and fourth semester examination at 70 centres.
