Recovery rate higher, fresh COVID cases on decline in MP

IN continuation of declining trend of daily cases being witnessed in Madhya Pradesh, at least 11,708 fresh cases were detected on Friday. The daily coronavirus recovery cases in Madhya Pradesh continued to outnumber the fresh cases.
Total cumulative recoveries stand at 5,47,447 with 4,815 new patients recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours, while with 11,708 new cases the state tally of infections neared 6.49 lakhs. To a little respite the active tally of COVID-19 cases in the State is witnessing a declining trend. Total active cases in the State that had come down to 87,000 has again risen to 95,000, however, more than 60 per cent of these cases are home isolated. At least 11,708 new infections came to the fore in the State taking the tally of infections to 6,49,114 and death of 85 more patients rose death toll to 6,244.
 
The active case load of 95,423 patients is enough to overwhelm the health facilities in the state, and is a matter of profound concern for the State Health Department. If figures are any indicator then the State Health Department has to make preparations on war-footing in the view of current rise in corona cases.
 
The health experts have opined to take precautionary measures as this sudden increase in numbers of coronavirus infection can prove fatal owing to the several mutations the virus underwent.Indore and Bhopal districts witnessed a single day spike of 1,753 and of 1,576 cases respectively.
 
Thirty-two districts in the State reported cases in three-digits and Indore has the most active cases (13,546), followed by Bhopal (12,117), Gwalior (9,177) and Jabalpur (4,927). Madhya Pradesh’s coronavirus figures are as follows: Total cases 6,49,114, active cases 95,423, new cases 11,708, total deaths 6,244, discharged 5,47,447, number of people tested so far 81,92,183.
