BMA donates Rs 25 lakh to district administration to fight against corona

The Butibori Manufacturers Association (BMA), one of the leading bodies of entrepreneurs of the region, gave a financial aid of Rs 25 lakh to the district administration to fight against the pandemic. The member manufacturers of the association, especially the Calderys India, raised the amount as part of their social responsibility. A delegation under the leadership of President of BMA Pradeep Khandelwal handed over the cheque of Rs 25 lakh to Nagpur District Collector Ravindra Thakare recently.
 
Ish Mohan Garg, Managing Director at Calderys India, Shashikant Kotharkar of BMA, Nitin Gujjelwar, and others were also part of the delegation that visited the District Collector’s office. On the occasion, Khandelwal said that the district administration has done a commendable work to control coronavirus in the district in last two months. “It is because of the efforts of the administration that the trade and industry are back on the track,” he said. Expressing happiness over the gesture of the BMA, Thakare said that the fund will be used to procure essential items required in the fight against the coronavirus. Thakare also appealed to the visiting delegation to motivate workers and employees in the industrial areas to administer vaccines as early as possible. Thakare also discussed other issues related to the functioning of various units in the Butibori industrial area.
