Two held with three pistols, cartridges by Gorakhpur cops

Crime Branch and Gorakhpur police arrested two accused and seized three pistols and three live cartridges from them in two separate cases under the jurisdiction of Gorakhpur police station. The arrested have been identified as Kapil Vishwakarma (24), resident of Ranipur, Shukla Nagar in Madan Mahal and Arjun Tiwari (26), resident of 90-quarters in Vijay Nagar. SHO of Gorakhpur police station, Sarika Pandey informed that during a special campaign against anti-social elements, Crime Branch received information about two suspects who were sight with fire arms at Howbagh railway station ground and near MGM School in Sethi Nagar.
 
Taking prompt action on the information, combined teams of Crime Branch and Gorakhpur police started a search and nabbed Kapil Vishwakarma at Howbagh railway station ground and seized two pistols loaded with single cartridges. Similarly, another team nabbed the miscreant named Arjun Tiwari near MGM School and seized a pistol loaded with single cartridge.
 
Gorakhpur police have registered separate cases against the accused under Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act while further investigations are underway to identify the source of receiving the fire arms. The accused were apprehended with active working of police team led by SHO of Gorakhpur police station, Sarika Pandey comprised of Crime Branch’s ASI, Dhananjay Singh, Vijay Shukla, Head Constable, Deepak Mishra, Constables, Brijendra Kasana, Mohit Upadhyay, Nitin Mishra and Gorakhpur’s Sub Inspector, Madan Singh Maravi, ASI, Rajesh Ahirwar and Head Constable, Indra Kumar.
