BB Colony Kamptee Football Club emerged winner of the Edukick Football Tournament organised by Krida Vikas Sanstha, Slum Soccer, Nagpur and supported by Laureus, Sport for Good foundation, UK. The one-day tournament was held at Kamptee. In the final, BB Colony pipped Ruiganj 2-1 to lift the title. This was the first tournament organised after the unlocking of district. Mohammad Ubaid scored the winner for BB Colony after Mohd Yasin had scored the leveller.

 

 

 

The tournament, played in 7-a-side format, saw enthusiastic participation of six teams from six different communities of Kamptee viz: Sayeed Nagar, Warispura, Ruiganj , Ismailpura, Futalna Oli, and BB Colony. The teams were divided in two groups and top two from each group made it to the semi-final. In the semi-final, Ruiganj defeated Warispura while BB Colony got the better of Sayeed Nagar. Mohd Tanveer, a former Rabbani Club player was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. The winning team members include Mohammad Ubaid, Abdul Rahman, Umair Khan, Mohammad Yasin, Mohammad Saad, Noman Ansari, Mohammad Ilyaz, Yaser Jamal, Mohammad Akram and Fawad Alam.
