City SIT team gets remand of four in fake injection case

Cops are trying to get answers related to consignment of fake Remdesivir injections that reached Sarabjit Singh Mokha's City Hospital from Morwi in Gujarat state
 
 
The Special Investigation Team (SIT), on Thursday, got four days police remand of as many as four accused who are involved in the trade of fake Remdesivir injections. After getting the remand now the SIT would interrogate the accused and get all the answers related to consignment of fake Remdesivir injections that reached Sarabjit Singh Mokha's City Hospital from Morwi. It may be noted that the Special Investigation Team of Jabalpur Police returned to the city on Wednesday night with the accused detained at Morwi Jail in Gujarat. On Thursday morning, the SIT submitted an application for taking remand for interrogation of the accused.
 
Later, after getting the medical of the accused, the Police presented everyone in the Court. ASP Rohit Kaswani informed that as the SIT get four days remand, it will conduct detailed interrogation of the accused in connection with the fake Remdesivir injections. The SIT will inquire about the entire process from delivering the fake Remdesivir injections to the City Hospital of Sarabjit Singh Mokha. The police will try to get answer to all questions related the role of all four accused including Sunil Mishra, Sapan Jain, Puneet Shah and Kaushal Bohra in transporting the consignment of fake Remdesivir injections to the City Hospital. The Investigating Team will also try to find the role of employees working in the City Hospital including the hospital operator Mokha.
 
It may be mentioned that the Gujarat Police had busted the fake Remdesivir injections cases on May 1. Seven people were arrested in the case. On the night of May 6, the Gujarat Police had arrested Sapan Jain, a resident of Jabalpur. After that the name of Sarabjit Mokha, the operator of City Hospital came into light. It was reported that he had ordered 500 fake injections in 2 cartons on April 23 and 28. From the injections, 209 injections were given to 171 hospitalized patients. In the case, an FIR was registered at Omati Police Station on May 10, after which the hospital operator Sarabjit Singh Mokha was arrested.
