In the previous year, the Central Government imposed a 21 day lockdown in March which was later extended till end of August due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of this, all economic activities were stopped from functioning. The lives of the workers were badly affected. Especially those workers whose bread and butter depended on daily wages. Changes in workers law, lack of social security, civil protection and economic decisions leading to unemployment have created an atmosphere of dissatisfaction among workers.
