City’s wushu players shine in virtual c’ship

Outstanding players of Jabalpur clinched three gold and a bronze medal in the recently National Wushu Championship organised virtually. The championship was organised under the auspices of Wushu Association of India in association with Chandigarh University under the direction of National President, Bhupendra Singh Bajwa, CEO, Suhail Ahmed, Pro Chancellor, RS Bava under the supervision of international judge Haojan Juaao (Germany) and NK Tripathi (retired IPS). Inspector General of Police (Jabalpur Zone), Bhagwat Singh Chouhan virtually honoured the players and expressed happiness on their remarkable performance.
 
He applauded the efforts of Wushu Association for continuing the practice and competitions of players for maintaining their enthusiasm towards sports. Representing the Madhya Pradesh team, Jabalpur’s Krishnika Gupta, Divyansh Gupta and Shraddha Yadav clinched single gold medal each while Priyanshi Chouhan won a bronze medal. Total 387 players from different states are participating in the competition. Competition will be continued till June 4. Chief referee of the competition was Manoj Gupta while Dronacharya Award recipient, Kuldeep Handu and Vishwamitra Award recipient Sarika Gupta convened the competition.
