The Internship and Placement Cell (IAPC) of Dharmashastra National Law University will host a three-day national workshop on ‘Legal Drafting and Writing Skills’ between June 7 and 9 through a virtual platform. The workshop is open for law students from across the country and aims to expose students to the basic tenets of legal drafting along with various modalities of drafting and related techniques in understanding various legal documents that have become part of the practice and procedure of law in India. The workshop would also throw light on the significance of legal language and legal writing skills in the realm of law.
 
The workshop consists of a total of 11 sessions which shall be delivered by experts having experience in the realm of Legal Drafting and Writing from various parts of the country. The event will be conducted under invaluable guidance of Vice-Chancellor DNLU, Professor Balraj Chauhan. The significance of legal drafting and writing competence in the legal profession cannot be overstated. The legal profession chiefly involves high-quality oral and written advocacy. Therefore, it becomes essential for an aspiring lawyer to grasp the fundamental approaches to legal drafting. This workshop will present an omissible opportunity for law students to hone and nurture the nuances of legal drafting and writing skills across a wide spectrum of legal practice from some of the finest experts of the legal fraternity.
