CONTINUING with its planning of selecting six grounds to be developed in six constituencies of Nagpur, NMC Sports Committee Chairman Pramod Tabhane inspected grounds, this time in South Nagpur area. In the inspection that was conducted some days back, Tabhane and other members of NMC visited Choukoni Ground and Yuva Sanskrutik Krida Mandal grounds in Hanuman Nagar Zone III and Nehru Nagar Zone V. The Choukoni Ground is situated in Hanuman Nagar while Yuva Sanskrutik Krida Mandal is located at Mire Layout. The inspection was done by Standing Committee Chairman Prakash Bhoyar and Deputy Chairman of Sports Committee Lakhan Yerawar along with chairman Tabhane.

 

Corporator of Prabhag 31 Usha Palat requested to set up a green gym at Choukoni Ground. Opposition Party leader Tanaji Wanve informed that changing rooms, toilets, drinking water facility should be provided at Yuva Sanskrutik Krida Mandal ground. Prakash Bhoyar said that the ground should be levelled. Corporator Divya Dhurde said that the ground should be cleaned and levelled. The other grounds inspected to be developed by NMC include Marartoli ground in West Nagpur, Guru Govindsingh Stadium in North Nagpur and Vinkar Colony ground in Central Nagpur. On the occasion, senior citizen of the locality Vijay Gawhane, Manoj Wandhre, Sanjay Mahalle, NMC Sports Officer Piyush Ambulkar and others were present.
