The COVID-19 pandemic has created a new culture in terms of ‘Work from Home’ (WFH). Professionals are expected to adopt to new technology and make changes in working style and adopt to new environment. To make the members aware of such technological advancements, Nagpur Branch of ICAI-WRC recently organised a virtual conference on the topic ‘Work from home and automating tasks’.
 
“There have been a lot of changes in our way of looking and doing things during COVID era. WFH is the new standard of working,” said CA Abhijit Kelkar, Regional Council Member while speaking as chief guest.
“Seminars and study circles are important for upgradation of knowledge in ever changing system of law to encash new professional opportunities. One has to be disciplined to develop expertise in their respective work,” he said.
He narrated the journey of life from physical work to technological work. “Chartered accountancy is one of the disciplined professions which have maintained ethics in all compliances,” Kelkar added.
 
“In the modern era of technical advancement, assessment is becoming faceless now, so now the responsibilities of a Chartered Accountant (CA) has increased multifold,” said CA Saket Bagdia, Chairman of Nagpur Branch of WIRC of ICAI. “To keep pace with the dynamic changes and compliances we should adopt digitalisation. Automation is the buzz word today and each and every organisation should automate all its operations. We need to understand and implement this concept of WFH in our offices for the security and safety of self and staff along with technological advancements,” said Bagdia.
 
He welcomed both the young and talented speakers for this important session CA Parth Singh Chauhan and CA Dhananjay Gokhale. They both covered the areas of use of technology for enabling WFH practices as well as automation techniques for making life easy.
 
CA Jiten Saglani, Vice-Chairman coordinated the event effectively along with CA Akshay Gulhane, Treasurer. While, CA Sanjay M Agrawal, Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
 
Present were CA Kirit Kalyani, Immediate Past Chairman, CA Suren Duragkar, Past Chairman, CA Julfesh Shah, CA Sandeep Jotwani, CA Lalit Singh Chauhan, CA Kedar Gokhale and more than 100 CA members.
