Appreciating the efforts made to prevent COVID-19 at Jabalpur, Chief Minister Chouhan said that saving public life is the top priority
 
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Friday, took account of post-lockdown situation in Jabalpur district and analysed the COVID data, while chairing a review meeting held virtually. The video-conference was attended by Divisional Commissioner, public representatives, Collector, Karmveer Sharma, Superintendent of Police, Siddarth Bahuguna and other officers.
 
Appreciating the efforts made to prevent COVID-19 at Jabalpur, Chief Minister Chouhan said that saving public life is the top priority and the administration must convince the people to maintain precautions. Contact tracing should be continue to put effective control on infection in the district. The public representatives apprised the Chief Minister with latest update on COVID pandemic in the district.
 
MLA, Ajay Vishnoi informed that the administration effectively manages the situation post lockdown thanks to continuous contact tracing and Kill Corona Abhiyan which put the situation under control. Though the shopkeepers registered their objection but the administration successfully taken them in confidence after discussion. Vishnoi further said that though the situation is under control but we still needed to maintain alertness and precautions. Mobile vans and police vans are roaming around every corner of the city to aware common public especially businessmen and traders to control infection.
 
Collector, Karmveer Sharma informed that sampling is being done more than fixed target on daily-basis in the district. To prevent COVID infection, Micro Containment Zone are being established while RTPCR tests are being done there. Updating about bed availability in the government and private hospitals, Collector, Sharma informed that mere 73 COVID infected patients from Jabalpur district are presently admitted in Jabalpur Medical College. Except restricted activities, market has been opened under Unlock process from June 1.The shop-keepers have been advised to follow guidelines.
