Raiding six more illegal kilns of country-made liquor, Excise Department seized 15-litres illegal stock of liquor and destroyed 6,800-kg raw materials in 34 underground containers at the bank of Gaur river, Bhita village and Jaitpuri village in Barela, on Monday. Excise team has registered separate cases against unidentified persons. Excise Control Room, In-charge, G L Maravi informed that under the direction of Collector Karmveer Sharma, the Excise Department team started a special campaign against illegal production and trade of liquor under the supervision of Assistant Excise Commissioner S N Dubey. Under this campaign, Excise Department received information about operation of illegal kiln at the bank of Gaur river in Bhita and Jaitpuri villages.
 
Taking prompt action on the information, Excise Department team raided the identified areas and busted six illegal kilns of country-made liquor. In the raids, excise teams seized 15-litres illegal stock of country liquor and destroyed total 6,800-kilograms of raw materials in underground containers. Excise Department registered separate cases against unidentified persons under Section 34(1)A and Section 34 (C) of Madhya Pradesh Excise Act 1995 while further investigations are underway. Raid was conducted by team led by GL Maravi comprised of Assistant District Excise Officer, GD Lahoria, Indrajeet Tiwari, Excise SI, Praveen Ratan Warkade, Shweta Singh, Ravishankar Maravi and others.
