To ensure safety of handicapped people from coronavirus, the Indian Red Cross Society in co-ordination with Social Justice and Welfare Department, Jabalpur Division and Rashtriya Drishtiheen Sangh organised a vaccination camp at Government High Secondary School For Blind, Bhedaghat road on Tuesday. In the camp, a total of 164 handicapped people including visually impaired, orthopedically handicapped, hearing-impaired and mentally disabled people received vaccination. Additionally, 10-orphaned divyangjan, residing at Moksh Sanstha received Corona Virus vaccine. Vaccination was conducted by a team of doctors from District Hospital under the supervision of Ranjita Pal and Vandana Dehriya.
 
The concerned officers provided information to the visitors about the schemes for handicapped people. The officers' set up several Departmental stalls to resolves the queries of handicapped people. At District Rehabilitation Centre stall, concerned officials received 3 applications for identification of handicapped equipment and 5 applications for repairing handicapped equipments. At Social Justice Department stall, concerned officials received 5 applications related to Social Security Pension and 15 applications related to employment opportunity. The Indian Red Cross Society stall received 5 applications for providing assistance to handicapped people. Commissioner of Disabled, Government of Madhya Pradesh Sandeep Rajak, Vice President, Saksham Dr Pawan Sthapak, District Vaccination Officer S S Dahiya, Principal, Blind school U P Mishra, President, Divyang Sangarsh Samiti Devendra Soni and other concerned senior officers were present prominently.
