South-West monsoon is on revival path in Madhya Pradesh. Now, plumes of dark black clouds are hovering in the sky, signalling a harbinger of rains in the offing. Even a few places received light to moderate rains. As far as Bhopal is concerned then sky was replete with black clouds and it looked that heavy rains may pound city any time. However, till evening there were no rainfall activities in city.
Owing to cloud cover, weather conditions have turned pleasant in city and there is coolness in air which has reduced the embarrassing humidity to great extent. People are having a sigh of relief from humidity and now they are just waiting for onset of rainfall activities once again.
In its forecast, Weather Department told that heavy rains are likely in some places of Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori and Umaria. Thunder activities are likely in some places of Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Ujjain and Indore divisions respectively.
Rains are likely in maximum places of Shahdol, Sagar, Jabalpur divisions and many places of Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Rewa, Ujjain, Indore divisions. Rains may batter a few places of Gwalior, Chambal divisions and districts including Mandsaur and Neemuch. In last twenty-four hours, rains lashed Jaithari (9 cm), Balaghat (7 cm), Aron, Sarangpur, Gyaraspur, Gurh (6 cm each) respectively.
As mild coolness got dissolved in air, maximum temperatures have dipped in state, otherwise they were four to five degrees above normal level. On Friday, Bhopal recorded maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius, 1 degree below normal. Jabalpur’s maximum temperature was 33 degrees Celsius and it was at normal. During day time on Friday, drizzling and light showers hit many parts of State including Jabalpur (13.5 mm), Rewa (38 mm), Satna (25.6 degrees Celsius), Sheopurkalan (38 mm) etc.
