Only 29 COVID +ve cases reported in State

Madhya Pradesh on Friday reported 29 fresh coronavirus positive cases and one fatality, taking the count of infections to 7,90,125 and the death toll to 9,024, the State Health Department said. With 38 patients getting discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the tally of recoveries in Madhya Pradesh climbed to 7,80,695, leaving the State with 406 active cases, the department said.
Indore reported seven new cases, taking the caseload to 1,52,909. Bhopal saw seven fresh cases, which raised the tally to 1,23,210, it said. Besides, the districts where corona positive cases were found: Gwalior (2 ), Betul (2), Jabalpur (2), Balaghat (2), Rajgarh (2), Dindori (2), Niwari (1) and Neemuch (1). Of the total 52 districts in Madhya Pradesh, 42 districts did not record a single new case in the last 24 hours, it said. With 74,731 new tests, the total number of samples tested for coronavirus so far in Madhya Pradesh has crossed 1.28 crore.
As the overall numbers suggest, the pandemic might be slowing down in Madhya Pradesh, with the State now reporting a fifth of new cases that it used to report during the peak of the second wave.
