Under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge Naveen Kumar Saxena, National Lok Adalat was organised in District Court Jabalpur, Tehsil Court Sihora and Patan and Family Court Jabalpur on Saturday. An award of Rs 35,83,55,038 was passed after resolving a total of 2888 cases. A total of 67 division benches were constituted for disposal of cases and 1357 cases pending in courts and 1531 prelitigation cases were resolved. 130 cases of criminal compoundable nature in the said Lok Adalat, 242 cases of section 138 NI Act, 662 cases of motor accident compensation claim, 147 cases of electricity pending in Special Electricity Courts, 65 cases of family matters, 56 of civil cases Cases were resolved. In this Lok Adalat, a settlement amount of Rs 5,90,34,689 was decided under Section 138 NI Act, in cases of motor accident compensation claim, award money of Rs 23,94,10,550 was passed. Revenue recovery of Rs 32,23,926 was done in pending cases in the courts of electricity and Rs 01,51,34,964 in 1123 unresolved cases of prelitigation of electricity. Similarly, in 249 prelitigation cases of bank recovery, settlement amount of Rs 01,77,44,700 was received in Lok Adalat.
