Beyond the superficial ecological flourishment, there lurks a dark truth unknown to most of us that cripples not only the present ecology of our country but, blurs future prospects of environmental prosperity. The evasive truth is that we need to plant ecologically more contributive species. Joining hands to make a change and create awareness among their students, a week-long celebration of the ‘Festival of Trees’, the students of St Raphael Co-Ed School, planted saplings to observe Van Mahotsav 2021.

Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, the festival was commemorated virtually. While abiding with all COVID protocols, the students participated in the drive by planting saplings in their garden, society campus and open grounds in their vicinity. By planting saplings and taking part in the activity, the ‘Earth Soldiers’ affirmed their commitment to serving the cause of serving planet Earth. Dr Sr Lissy Jose, Principal of the School, said that the school through this activity has tried to build environmental stewards for a life time.
