The Department of Sports and Youth Welfare (DSYW) bid a heart-warming farewell to District Sports Officer, Jabalpur, Santosh Rajput and his Seoni counterpart Maqsooda Mirza, who retired from their services on Sunday. Director, DSYW, Pawan Jain honoured the retired officers by presenting them with a bunch of flowers, shawl, cumin and a memento at a programme organised at Tatya Tope Stadium. Notably, Rajput and Mirza had been employed in the government services since August 30, 1983 and September 1, 1983 respectively. “Relocation and retirement are mere governmental procedures, which all the government employees undergo.
 
The relations established during the course of one’s tenure are neither broken nor diminished. I plead with both of you to collect beautiful and sweet memories while leaving the place,” said Director Pawan Jain while addressing the farewell ceremony of the retired officers on Sunday. Jain also prayed for their well-being and longevity.
 
The ceremony was further addressed by the Joint Directors Vinod Pradhan and BS Yadav, who were then seconded by District Sports officer Jones Chacko. They mentioned the outstanding contribution made by the officers during their tenure and also wished for their bright future. Other officials of the sports department and various district sports officers were also connected to the ceremony through online mode. Arjun and Dronacharya Awardee Rajinder Singh, Hockey Coach Sameer Daad, Sailing Coach GL Yadav, Fencing Coach Vijay Aingh, Judo coach Kamla Rawat and other coaches, wished for the officers’ long and happy life.
