MP’s Amit Kumar to represent India in World Archery Youth C’ship in Poland

Talented archer of Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy, Jabalpur, Amit Kumar will lead the Indian archery team in World Archery Competition to be held in Wroclaw city in Poland from August 9 to 15. Expressing happiness on selection of Amit Kumar to Indian Archery team, Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia has congratulated Amit Kumar. She hoped that Amit Kumar will give a stellar performance and will grab medals for nation. Notably, Amit Kumar is undergoing training at Madhya Pradesh State Archery Academy in Jabalpur from 2016 onwards.
 
He is learning nuances of archery from academy’s trainer Richpaal Singh Salaria. Amit had won gold medal for Madhya Pradesh in the team event of Senior National Archery Competition held in Pune Maharashtra, 2018. In the same year, he won gold in individual event of mini national archery competition held in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and silver medal in mixed team event for Madhya Pradesh. He won the bronze medal in the individual event of junior national archery competition held in Dehradun in March 2021 and silver medal in the mixed team event for Madhya Pradesh.
