A delegation of Indian Medical Association (IMA) officials met Labour and Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya, handed over a memorandum and also discussed on high charges applied for Bio-medical waste collection by Raipur Municipal Corporation. Dr Mahesh Sinha, the President of IMA Chhattisgarh informed that Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) takes yearly charge for garbage collection from door-to-door. Commercial License tax is collected.
 
The rate of tax is reportedly higher for the private clinics and hospitals as compared to other commercial organisations. All health cared centres pay separate fees for bio-medical waste management. While the wastage coming out of small clinic diagnostic centres and small hospitals are far less as compared to other commercial organisations. Dr Rakesh Gupta, Dr Vikash Agrawal, Dr Anil Jain met Dr Dahariya and requested to decided a justified fees for the nursing homes and private clinics. Dr Dahariya assured the delegation to take fare decision in this regard.
