A meeting was held at the District Malaria Office for effective implementation of Zika Control and mosquito-borne diseases in Bhopal on Thursday. This meeting was held under the supervision of Joint Director, Dr A L Maravi and Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Prabhakar Tiwari in presence of District Malaria office staff and Embed Project Family Health. While addressing the meeting, District Malaria Officer Akhilesh Dubey said that in today’s meeting, we discussed about prevention of Zika Virus. He said that we need to work in coordination to control the spread of Zika and other mosquito-borne disease like dengue, malaria.
 
Dubey has instructed all the staff to visit the area according to their advance plan. Joint Director Dr A L Maravi reviewed action plan for Zika control and directed the staffers to work at the field level as per the strategy plan so that there is no apprehension of any kind. CMHO Dr Prabhakar Tiwari has directed all the staff to work in a timely and effective manner and take actions to avoid the spread and to control Zika.
 
He said that regular work should be reviewed from time to time, for the prevention of dengue and malaria, larvae survey and destruction work should be ensured; fine should be imposed to those houses where larvae are found. District Advisor Ruchi Silakari, District Coordinator Family Health India Dr Santosh Bhargava, Malaria Inspector Urmila Singh, Ram Narayan Sailor, Arun Narwaria, Pawar, Rakesh Sonpure and all the other staff members were present in the meeting.
