Saoner police have arrested three persons for liquor smuggling and seized liquor worth Rs 50,000/- from their car. The accused have been identified as Rahul Babarao Sahare (32), a resident of Ramai Nagar, Kamptee; Salman Nazir Khan (30), a resident of Sayyad Baba Dargah, nagarpu, Prakash Laxman Tambe (21), a resident of Gautam Nagar, Kamptee. According to police, the police stopped a Hyundai Creta car near Railway Crossing on Khapa Road on Thursday evening. The police found the accused carrying country liquor in the car for smuggling purpose. An offence under Section 65 (a) (e) of Maharashtra Prohibition Act was registered by Saoner police. Under the guidance of SP Rakesh Ola, the arrest was made by PI Maroti Mulak, API Nishant Fulekar, and staff including Krishna Junghare, Kumeria, Bambal and Kolhe.
