The newly-wed bride plants sapling, cleans premises of Mandir while entering her groom’s house

Sending the cleanliness and environment conservation message to the society, a newly-wed bride planted a sapling and cleaned the premises of Sheetla Mata Mandir with a broom before entering the house. This exemplary act was seen in Bagbahara tehsil of Mahasamund district. The newly-wed bride Chandrama, daughter of Satyanarayan Padhi, a resident of Pithora, tied nuptial knot with Pramod, son of Late Sheshdev Panigrahi, a resident of Bagbahara, during a marriage function in Pithora.

After solemnisation of the marriage in Pithora as per Hindu tradition, the bride and the groom returned to groom’s residence in Bagbahara. Instead of entering the house of her groom, Chandrama along with Pramod went to the temple where Chandrama swept the temple premises with a broom and planted a sapling, displaying her responsibility towards keeping surroundings clean and its importance.
