Youth Congress workers, led by MLAs Arif Masood and P C Sharma, protested against increased price of petrol in State capital on Saturday. Demonstrating Congress workers raised slogans against Government and demanded that increased price of fuel should be taken back to provide relief to common people. MLA Arif Masood and MLA P C Sharma ride bicycle during the march towards Raj Bhawan. Protesters were carrying the placards in their hands in which slogans were written. In his speech, Arif Masood made a scathing attack on State Government as well as the Centre in the wake of increased petrol prices which have lit the flame of inflation.
 
The march of Youth Congress demonstrators started from Budhwara and started to move towards Raj Bhawan. In way to Raj Bhawan, Youth Congress workers filled the air with slogans and demanded that state government should reduce the petrol prices immediately. However, the march of Youth Congress workers was stopped by the police in mid way. Notably, Congress is making a blistering attack on State Government over increased prices of petrol and diesel. Women Congress had recently staged district wise protest to raise voice against inflated prices of petrol, domestic gas cylinder and vice versa.
 
Congress leaders are also leaving no stone unturned to corner State Government over increased prices of petrol. They are often stating that increased fuel prices should be withdrawn in the larger interests of common people as increased fuel prices are fanning inflation which has resulted into rise in prices of various commodities. In upcoming assembly session, Congress is likely to raise petrol price hike issue in strong manner.
