Ensure necessary preparations to combat third wave: Minister Singh

“To deal with much anticipated third wave of coronavirus all essential healthcare facilities must be ensure and taken care of,” said Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Castes Welfare and Minister Meena Singh. Minister Singh underlined the fact that the Coronavirus pandemic is still not over in a meeting held with the district planning committee which was aimed at containing the spread of coronavirus infections. Citing the vulnerability of young children towards Covid-19 infections during the third wave of the pandemic, Singh instructed to construct a pediatric ward on a priority basis, which will house both the ailing children and their kin. She ordered to establish proper medical facilities in both the district hospitals as well as community healthcare centers to treat the coronavirus disease.
 
She also instructed to provide relevant healthcare facilities in both rural and tribal areas. Subsequently, she issued instructions to finish the ongoing oxygen plant construction with immediate effect and resume the Covid RT-PCR testing. She aimed towards achieving the set vaccination target across the district, by stating that vaccination is the most powerful tool for battling Covid infections. She emphasised that the entire 18+ population comprising the district must receive inoculation promptly.
 
MLA Kamleshwar Patel drew Singh’s attention towards the electricity problems, who was then directed to issue instructions to the officers of the electricity department to make necessary improvements. MP Reeti Pathak, Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Pratap Singh, MLA Sidhi Kedarnath Shukla, MLA Dhauhani Kuwar Singh Tekam, MLA Churhat Shardendu Tiwari members of District Planning Committee and departmental officers concerned were also present in the meeting.
