DURG,

In view of the increasing number of COVID patients, the Durg Municipal Corporation administration has started taking precautionary steps. Under this, action is being taken to seal the area on continuous receipt of infected patients. Under this, one lane in Siddharth Nagar and two lanes of Diparapara have been sealed, declaring them as containment zones. It is noteworthy that recently, few infected patients have been identified in Diprapara and Siddharth Nagar. On Monday, DMC Commissioner Haresh Mandavi and SDM Vinay Poyam reached Diparapara and Siddharth Nagar to take stock of the Containment Zone. They appealed to all the citizens around there not to come out of the Containment Zone. Grocery shops, government fair price shops and clinics around the area have been closed.

During this, they instructed the present in-charge Executive Engineer Jintendra Samaiah, Sanjeev Dubey and employees Khilwan Chandrakar to extend the Containment Zone a little further. Along with this, it was advised to take help from Anganwadi and Mitanins to organize camps for getting corona testing done. After the identification of Corona cases, entry has been restricted by putting barricades on the road of Ward 34 Diparapara and Siddharth Nagar. It has been appealed that in case of ill health and symptoms of corona, get corona test done immediately. Only persons engaged in essential services in the Containment Zone will be able to enter the Containment Zone by ensuring physical distancing and sanitization. Any other person coming out or going in of the Containment Zone have been strictly prohibited.
