Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the case of spying through Pegasus spyware is a deep conspiracy of anti-national forces and Congress to malign Indian democracy. BJP strongly rejects the baseless allegations made by Congress over the spying matter. Interacting with mediapersons at his residence on Tuesday, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Congress is having a long history of going for spying. Congress had been in a habit of doing phone tapping and spying of its leaders and colleagues, he claimed.

Therefore, it is levelling baseless allegations on Centre. He strongly claimed that Congress is scripting a fake story in Pegasus matter. Pegasus manufacturer company NSO had clearly told that its maximum customers are in western countries then why India is being targeted in this regard. “This is a story scripted on the basis of lie. There is not even a single evidence to connect Indian government in this case,” he fumed. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a prosperous India is emerging and some foreign forces and Congress are unable to digest this. He said “Political power of Congress has become zero, what we will achieve by going for its spying”. He asserted that Congress itself is a party full of spies.

Congress has a long history of spying its own people. Main Congress leaders from Teen Murti Bhawan till Safdarganj and till 10 Janpath have remained shrouded by spies. He asserted that in Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh did the work of getting Kamal Nath sidelined as when Kamal Nath was CM, he used to have information of every moment. He said that Rahul Gandhi should clarify that why he had gone to Chinese embassy during late night that also in hushed manner.
