Debt of 1.5 lakh was the reason for the murder, co-worker arrested
 
 
The accused has been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of the senior operator of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). The accused murdered Jagatram Uike inside the plant, keeping in mind that he did not have to repay the loan of Rs 1.5 lakh borrowed from the deceased. ASP City Sanjay Dhruv in a press conference informed that Rishabh lodged a missing complaint of his father Jagatram Uike (55), a resident Mother Teresa Nagar, Chhaoni Camp-1, Bhilai. According to the applicant, his father Jagatram Uike was a BSP employee who came to normal shift duty on July 19 and did not return home after duty, during which the missing vehicle was found parked near BSP Plant SMS- 2 on July 20. On July 21 while searching missing Jagatram around SMS-2 of BSP his body was recovered in CCS of SMS-2 in suspicious condition.
 
When the matter seemed suspicious, the spot was inspected by the dog squad and the case was investigated minutely. During the crime investigation, information regarding the deceased Jagatram was obtained from the colleagues and officers of the deceased of BSP regarding the visit to the plant on the date of the incident. The CCTV footage and eyewitness informed that the deceased Jagatram, was seen last with his co-worker R Venkateshwara Rao around 5.30 pm since the day he is missing. In this regard, the suspect was immediately detained by the special team and after rigorous interrogation, the suspect accepted of borrowing a loan of Rs 1.5 lakh from the deceased and was unable return the loan, so he killed the deceased by hitting him on the head with an iron rod and put the dead body in a bunker there and lock it from outside. The gold ring, chain and bracelet worn by the deceased along with the rod used in the murder were recovered on the instance of accused Venkateswara Rao.
 
The accused Venkateshwara Rao was arrested for the crime. Chief Constables Lallan Singh, Chandrashekhar Banjir, Santosh Mishra and constables Tarakeswar Sahu, Abdul Shafiq, Murli Soni, Rajendra Bansod, Shailesh Yadav, Hiralal Deshmukh, Vijay Shukla, Ravi Yadav and Surya Prakash Sahu pla yed a remarkable role in solving the murder mystery.
