Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that all possible assistance will be provided to the girls connected with Ladli Laxmi Yojana from college studies to getting jobs. Necessary arrangements will be made to make the daughters self-sufficient under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana, which was started to eradicate the discrimination existing in the society about son and daughter. He distributed scholarship amount from Mantralaya to the beneficiary girls of the scheme and also interacted with them. He gave scholarships amounting to Rs. 27. 90 crore to 95 434 girls. Along with this, Ladli certificates were also distributed to 69 thousand 337 new girls. He said that there was a time when people wished for a son. The son was considered the support of old age and the daughter as a burden. To change this thinking and to develop the spirit of considering the daughter as a boon, Ladli Laxmi Yojana was started.

 

The idea was that as soon as a daughter is born, she should be guaranteed to have a lakh rupees and this scheme should be such that it should also be associated with education so that parents make special efforts to educate their daughters. While encouraging the daughters, he asked them to set goals in life. He also urged the parents to give a lot of love and affection to their daughters and motivate daughters to make their own decisions. He held virtual talks with Kumari Saira Khan of Betul, Kumari Muskan Raikwar of Sehore, Kumari Anku Mishra of Rewa, Kumari Shina Dhyani of Anuppur. Along with this, certificates were given digitally to Kanushree of Sehore, Kinaz of Rewa, Swara of Dhar, Anabiya of Anuppur and Tanvi of Betul. In his interaction, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan while said that he want to see girls becoming collectors, doctors, engineers. He said that discipline is the basis of success.
