Heavy to very heavy rains likely at few places in State

Weather Department has issued the warning of heavy to very heavy rains accompanied by thunder activities in some parts of Sheopur Kalan, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Ashok Nagar etc. Heavy rains and thunder activities are likely in Rajgarh, Agar, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Vidisha, Chhattarpur, Balaghat, Panna, Shahdol and Tikamgarh districts respectively. Rains and thunder activities are likely in maximum places of Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior, Chambal divisions respectively. Rains are also likely to lash many places of Jabalpur, Shahdol, Sagar, Rewa divisions.
 
In the last 24 hours, rains drenched Bamori (26 cm), Raghogarh (23 cm), Kumbhraj (19 cm), Chachoda, Guna (13 cm each), Ashok Nagar (10 cm), Jeerapur, Bhanpura, Kayampura, Malhargarh, Gwalior (8 cm each) respectively. As far as weather forecast for Bhopal is concerned then sky will be cloudy and rainfall accompanied by thunder activities are likely. During day time on Tuesday, rains occurred in Sheopurkalan (64 mm), Malajkhand (39 mm), Satna (33 mm), Bhopal (18.2 mm), Gwalior (14.1 mm), Chhindwara (14 mm), Shajapur (11 mm), Panchmarhi (11 cm), Mandla (6 mm) etc. Weather Department said that a low pressure area with associated cyclonic circulation has become active in Bay of Bengal. Monsoon trough line is passing through Ganganagar, Merat, Hardoi, Varanasi, Daltanganj till Bay of Bengal. As rains are happening hence mercury level has taken the dip in state. Bhopal’s maximum temperature settled down at 26.1 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal. Indore recorded maximum temperature at 25.2 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees below normal. Jabalpur’s maximum temperature was 26.7 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal.
