Rainfall likely in isolat
With no rainfall activities in sight from last one week, mercury level is on the rise in Bhopal and many other parts of state. As heat is giving harrowing time, people are praying for revival of monsoon activities. As of now, rains that also of light to moderate level are taking place in limited pockets of State.
 
From last several days, there have been no heavy rainfall activities in any part of State. In its forecast, Weather Department said that rainfall and thunder activities are likely in many places of Shahdol, Jabalpur divisions and districts including Sagar and Damoh.
 
Rainfall activities are also likely to take place in isolated places of Rewa Division and districts including Panna, Chhattarpur, Tikamgarh, rains may also take place in few places of Bhopal, Gwalior, Hoshangabad divisions and districts including Burhanpur, Indore, Ujjain, Bhind etc. Thunder activities may take place in some places of Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar divisions.
 
The local forecast for Bhopal says that sky will be partial cloudy and there is chance of rainfall and light showers along with thunder activities in some places of city. Heat is giving tough time to people as temperatures are on the rise. Bhopal recorded maximum temperature at 34 degrees Celsius, 1 degree above normal. Indore recorded maximum temperature at 33.8 degrees Celsius, 1 degree above normal. Jabalpur’s maximum temperature settled down at 34.2 degrees Celsius, 1 degree above normal. In last twenty-four hours, rains lashed few places of State including Seoni (6 cm), Lalbarra (5 cm), Dhanora (3 cm), Kevlari, Mandla, Nainpur (2 cm each), Mohkheda, Kurai, Anuppur, Chappara, Hanumana, Sihawal, Malajkhand
