More than 7.25 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered across the State on Thursday. COVID-19 vaccination was done at 3,874 centres including 3,849 government sessions and 25 sessions were held at private institutes. The target of the health department was to administer a total of 24 thousand doses in the state captial, against which 20,729 shots were given on Thursday.

 

The vaccination drive in the state which is hit by shortage of vaccine doses, earlier, the Madhya Pradesh High Court had instructed the government in centre to ensure sufficient COVID-19 vaccine doses in Madhya Pradesh, so that every citizen could get at least first dose of the vaccine by September end. According to information gained from CoWin portal, nearly 7,25,858 lakh doses were administered in the state by 9 pm. Chhindwara maintained its lead with 37,934 doses, followed by Khandwa, where 26,989 doses were administered. Bhopal has reported administration of 20,729 vaccine doses as vaccination was carried out 205 sites here on Thursday.
