Police recover stolen truck with furniture

July 29 Khamtarai Police on Thursday recovered a stolen truck with furniture worth total Rs 12 lakh. The truck laden with furniture imported from Noida was stolen on July 27, 2021. According to police, one Feran Singh (50), resident of Maharajpura Gwalior, had lodged a complaint that he was hauling furniture worth Rs 4,77,900 from Noida on his truck MP/07-GA/5446. In the night, he parked the truck on ring road-02 before sleeping on July 26. The next morning he hired a guide to Golden Market Bhanpuri.
 
The guide was sitting behind conductor seat. Near Laxmi Dhaba Bhanpuri, when driver Raghvendra Singh Tomar stepped out of the truck to quench thirst, the guide disappeared with the truck worth Rs 8 lakh. On Thursday, Khamtarai Police got inputs that someone was looking to dispose of a truck on Ring Road Gondwara. As the police rounded him up, the accused told that his name is Santosh Yadav, resident of village Silli district Korba. Khamtarai Police booked Santosh Yadav under section 379 of Indian Penal Code.
