Tourism, Culture, and Spirituality Minister Usha Thakur said that the development of Rampath Van Gaman Marg is the top priority of the State Government. ‘Rampath Van Gaman Marg’ will be completed in three phases. In the first phase, the sites of Kamadgiri Parikrama, in the second phase the sites of 84 Koshi Parikrama of Chitrakoot, and in the third phase, other important places of Rampath Van Gaman marg will be developed. Thakur was holding review meeting regarding eco-tourism, Mandakini Ghat, and Rampath Van Gaman Yojana at the Udyamita Vidyapeeth in Chitrakoot on Saturday.
 
She told that while preparing the DPR of the Rampath Van Gaman Marg project, complete and composite plan shall be made after taking opinions from local minds, sages, saints, local public representatives. Collector himself should review the progress by taking a meeting of the concerned departments every fifteen days. She was informed that the development of Rampath Van Gaman would be started simultaneously from both Chitrakoot and Amarkantak. The proposed Rampath Van Gaman will start from Chitrakoot and complete at Amarkantak via Satna, Panna, Amanganj, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla, Dindori, and Shahdol.
 
Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation has been made the agency of Rampath Van Gaman development works under the guidance of the Spiritual Department. In the first phase of the scheme, administrative approval of one crore rupees has been given by the Spiritual Department to prepare the feasibility report and DPR for the construction of Rampath Van Gaman Marg. Also, Rs 50 lakh has been allotted as the first installment, for which tender has been invited. She also inspected the proposed sites after review meeting. During the inspection of Mandakani Ghat, She instructed the concerned officers to install railings for the safety of the general public and regular cleaning of the Ghats.
