An extensive santisation drive was carried out on the roads of the state capital by Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) as the Sunday curfew is now revoked by the state government. BMC has deployed more than 20 big trippers, anti-fogging machines and tractor mount sprinklers to sanitise large scale of residential areas, markets, and public places of the city. Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat has directed to continue sanitisation work to keep the citizens safe, living in major residential areas and in markets. Apart from sanitisation drive, BMC has taken various initiatives in the fight against the pandemic, including increasing awareness about the virus, setting up of COVID Care Centre and vaccination camps to stop the spread.

 

BMC has ensured disinfection of all public places and public utility buildings such as banks and hospitals. On Sunday, workers with hand-held spray machine, big trippers, anti-fogging machines and tractor mount sprinklers, sanitised several areas including Link road area, Mata mandir, Nutan College, Arera Colony, Jahangirabad, Kamla Park, Fatehgarh, Royal Market, LBS main road, Shahjanabad, Bhopal talkies, Kazicamp, DIG Bungalow, Chowk Market, Idgah hills, Karond, 1100 Quarters, 12 number, Noor-mahal Road, Saket Nagar, 11 mile, Bawadiyakalan, Mandakani, Danish Kunj, Bharat Mata Square, Jawahar Chowk, Mali Pura, Bittan Market, PNT square, Kolar Road, Kaliyasot Dam road, Alaknanda Complex, Azad Market, Lakherapura, Rang Mahal, Jawahar Chowk, PNT Square, Roshanpura, Trilanga, Nanke petrol pump, and Board Office. BMC also carried out sanitisation activities at premises of Hamidia Hospital, TB Hospital and JP Hospital. Apart from this, sanitization was also done at Bhadbada crematorium ground, Subhash nagar crematorium and Jhada grave yard. Senior officers of BMC are keeping eye on sanitisation activities. They regular monitor and review the sanitisation drive and gives necessary instruction.
