State Agriculture Minister and Raipur District In-charge Ravindra Choubey said that the benefits of development taking place should reach the last person. He stated this in DMF Governing Council meet on Monday. The Minister asked the officials to expedite the applications related to compassionate appointment. 734 works worth Rs 109 crore have been completed in Raipur district under DMF Fund and 129 works are in progress. Rs 124 crore has been received in district since 2016. 10 works of about Rs 5 crore related to Health and Education Department were approved. Choubey told the officers that the implementation of the schemes of the Government should be completed in a better way with transparency, so that the benefits of development reach the last person.

 

He said that the relatives of the government servants who died due to Covid-19 or other reasons should be appointed as per the rules of the Government at the earliest. Cases related to compassionate appointment should not be kept pending. The meeting was attended by Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahriya, MLAs Vikas Upadhyay, Kuldeep Juneja, Satyanarayan Sharma, Brijmohan Agarwal, Dhanendra Sahu, Anita Sharma, Collector Saurabh Kumar, District Panchayat CEO Mayank Chaturvedi, Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prabhat Malik, DFO Vishvesh Kumar and concerned public representatives and officials.

 

Choubey enquired about the agricultural activities going on in the district. He asked the Agriculture Department official that there should be no black marketing of agriculture materials. He emphasised on making Gothans self-sufficient and encouraging citizens and farmers to use cow dung, vermi compost, super compost etc. Choubey asked to use the amount of DMF on health services to prevent the possibility of third wave of Covid 19. Urban Administration Minister Dr Dahriya emphasised on removing encroachment from gothans.
