With a view to stop the spread of coronavirus, a mega sanitisation drive was conducted on Monday simultaneously across all the major public areas and markets of Bhopal. Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has deployed more than 20 big trippers, anti-fogging machines and tractor mount sprinklers to sanitise large scale of residential areas, markets, and public places of the city.

 

As the restrictions have been relaxed further for the state capital and markets are open, it is necessary that BMC conducts santisation at large scale, to avoid any further spread of the virus. Divisional Commissioner Kavindra Kiyawat has directed to continue the sanitisation work across the city to stop the spread of corona virus infection and keep the citizens safe living in major residential areas and in markets. Sanitisation is one of the key weapons against the COVID-19 and to break this chain of the pandemic. It is also important to mention that apart from sanitisation drive, BMC has taken various initiatives in the fight against the pandemic, including increasing awareness about the virus and its prevention, setting up of COVID Care Centre in the city and vaccination camps to stop the spread.

 

On Monday, corporation staff workers with hand-held spray machine, big trippers, anti-fogging machines and tractor mount sprinklers, sanitised several areas of the city including Link Road area, Mata Mandir, Nutan College, Arera Colony, Jahangirabad, Kamla Park, Fatehgarh, Royal Market, LBS main road, Shahjanabad, Bhopal talkies, Kazi Camp, DIG Bungalow, Chowk Market, Idgah Hills, Karond, 1100 Quarters, 12 number, Noor-Mahal Road, Saket Nagar, 11 mile, Bawadiyakalan, Mandakani, Danish Kunj, Bharat Mata Square, Jawahar Chowk, Mali Pura, Bittan Market, PNT Square, Kolar Road, Kaliyasot Dam road, Alaknanda Complex, Azad Market, Lakherapura, Rang Mahal, Jawahar Chowk, PNT Square, Roshanpura, Trilanga, Nanke petrol pump, and Board Office.
