Over 7.04 lakh doses administered during Mega Vaccination Camp

The second dose administration of Covaxin and Covishield vaccines continued across the State on Thursday under the ongoing ‘Mega Vaccination Camp’. As many as 3,389 inoculation centres were setup in the entire state and a more than 7.04 lakh doses were administered, according to details provided by CoWin dashboard. Notably, this was an average turnout of vaccination in the state, in the three-day drive launched to boot second dose tally in the State. Now, a total of 2,31,83,041 doses, including both first and second, have been administered in MP so far. The State capital failed to achieve its target of administering 31 thousand jabs as only 28,445 shots were given here until the filing of this report (according to CoWin dashboard).
 
The health department’s focus is on administering more and more second doses as to balance the gap between both doses. More than 1.95 crore shots of first dose have been given while only 36 lakh jabs of second dose have been administered. Sagar and Rewa districts reported 21,545 and 20,240 respectively while Betul reported 14,424. Vidisha and Raisen administered 12,543 and 10,062 doses respectively while Sehore reported 13,731. Ujjain reported 28,052. Satna reported 13,141 vaccinations. Chhindwara reported 17,554 while Shivpuri reported 13,727. Chhattarpur reported 13,149. Hoshangabad reported 12,180 and Khandwa reported 11,196 vaccination. Seoni reported 10,557. Harda and Burhanpur reported 6,859 and 11,203 respectively.
